Things to do in Orlando

When most people think about Orlando, Florida, they tend to think about Disney, Sea World or Universal and all the other theme parks in the theme park capital of the world.

However, Orlando has many more tourist attractions that are more than worth a visit. They may not be as well known as Sea World, Disney or Universal Studios but, they make for amazing  day trips and entertaining evenings out.

If you discover yourself with your evenings totally free, think about a Dinner Theater experience. There are a number of them in Orlando and they are all an excellent and amusing way to experience a unique dining experience. Lets take a look at a few of the more pleasurable and popular ones.

Arabian Nights Orlando

Arabian Nights, voted, by some, to be the # 1 supper show in Orlando, Florida, includes a wonderful tale of enjoyment, experience and romance. More than 60 of the world’s most lovely horses and 30 stunning entertainers combine with unique effects, awesome music and amazing stunts to create a unique and spectacular Broadway-style production. Relish a three-course prime rib, grilled chicken breast or vegetable lasagna supper served with unlimited beer, wine and sodas.

Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede Dinner & Show

One of Orlando’s long list of amazing dining entertainment experiences. Dixie Stampede includes: stunning horses; American Buffalo; world-famous racing ostriches and racing pigs; music; singing and dancing; an incredible patriotic finale composed by Dolly; and audience involvement. An incredible four-course feast is served throughout the program. Beginning in November and continuing through December, Dixie Stampede is transformed into a vacation dream with twinkling lights, old-fashioned Christmas outfits and vacation music. Elves from the North and South Poles complete in a friendly rivalry while serving up a joyful Christmas banquet.

Middle Ages Times Dinner & Tournament

Medieval Times is more than a dinner tourist attraction – it’s a window in time where the glory, chivalry, valor and honor of old burst to life in exhilarating genuine competition action. Voted “Best Dinner Show” by the readers of Florida Living Magazine. Personally, I visit this show every time I visit Orlando – it is one of the first evenings out that I book in advance of flying out to Orlando, every December. If you know where to look, you can get free upgrades to Royalty. The pageantry is beyond compare anywhere else I have been. If you go to no other evening dining and entertainment experience in Orlando, I strongly recommend you go to this one – it is great also for kids as they can scream on their knight to victory whilst eating the old fashioned way, with fingers! Truly a memorable experience and one that will stay with you long after the thrills and excitement of the theme parks.

Pirate’s Dinner Adventure
